- On Sunday April29th, the Mount Kisco Fire Department was dispatched to an unknown type fire in a two-store house at 10:54 am. Chief 2284 was the first on scene,and saw smoke in the structure and gave the 10-75. Garage Fire

- On March 10th at 18:26 the Mount Kisco Fire Department was dispatched to a garage fire at 44 Leonard Street. First on the scene was Chief 2282, who confirmed there was a fully involved garage fire and gave the 10-75. Passing of a Legend

- It is with deep regret that the Union Hook & Ladder Co., #1 announces the passing of Martin Bancroft. Martin left this earth suddenly this afternoon. Along his journey, he held several positions in the Company; from Commissioner to Foreman to President. Background:
The Union Hook & Ladder Co., #1 is an all-volunteer fire company with approximately 60 members. The company is one of four that make up the Mount Kisco Volunteer Fire Department. The other three companies are the Independent Fire Co. (www.ifco13.com), Mutual Engine & Hose Co #1 and the Mount Kisco Rescue & Fire Police.
The Mount Kisco Volunteer Fire Department covers approximately 3 square miles, half of which in the Town / Village of Mount Kisco proper, and the other half is made up of sections of the Town of New Castle and the Town of Bedford. The M.K.F.D. protects a population of approximately 18,000 people.
