In this event any student or group of students can pick a song and try out to take part in the lip sync. The event is thrown by the foreign language department and is judge by Fox Lane students and administration. One of the groups that performed was the Fox Lane Bucket Brigade. This group consists of Fox Lane students who belong to the local volunteer fire departments (Bedford Hills FD, Bedford Village FD, Mount Kisco FD, and Pound Ridge FD). Many of the Bucket Brigade members also belong to Fox Lane's First Responders Club. The group worked hard the past week to put a skit together and work on their performance. In the end the Fox Lane Bucket Brigade took second place by less than a point behind the winning group. The Bucket Brigade did a wonderful job and sure had a great time. Fri, 23 Apr 2010 04:11:51 GMT http://www.hooks14.com/apps/public/news/newsView.cfm?News_ID=37 House Fire Displaces 4 Family's http://www.hooks14.com/apps/public/news/newsView.cfm?News_ID=36 At 18:38hrs., the Mount Kisco Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire on Maple Avenue. 45M1, of Westchester EMS was on scene immediately, confirming the fire. He then began evacuating the residents. Upon C2283's arrival, a 10-75 was transmitted. The rear of the building was fully involved from the first floor up through the attic. There was extension to the wooded area surrounding the home. Mount Kisco units quickly went to work, stretching four lines and raising several ground ladders. Upon their arrival, units from Bedford Hills assisted with ventilating. The Yorktown Heights FAS Team was called to the scene and crews from Katonah also assisted. Thanks to the Chappaqua Fire Departments assistance, air bottles were quickly filled on scene. Bedford Hills Engine 198 contained the brush fire from Manchester Drive. All occupants made it out of the building safely and were provided shelter by the Landlord. Two Mount Kisco Firefighters suffered minor injuries that were treated at the scene by Mount Kisco EMS and the Westchester EMS Medic. The fire took place only hours before the annual Department Meeting, therefore making this fire Chief Bueti's "last hoorah!" The Chappaqua and Millwood Fire Departments stood by at HQ to cover Mount Kisco. http://www.lohud.com/article/20100416/NEWS02/304160035 Wed, 21 Jul 2010 20:38:28 GMT http://www.hooks14.com/apps/public/news/newsView.cfm?News_ID=36 Tuesday Night Drill http://www.hooks14.com/apps/public/news/newsView.cfm?News_ID=35 For the weekly cleanup/training on Tuesday, February 9th under the instruction of a few veterans, some of the younger hooks put their saw skills to the test.
